Pros

1. The company’s office is very spacious (nearly 30 ping). The owner and managers have a great eye for spatial design, and the environment is clean and cozy.

2. They often take us out to eat. The boss has an excellent palate and is very good at choosing restaurants.

3. The company’s projects are always related to food, so food lovers definitely shouldn’t miss this opportunity.

4. There are few people in the company, so your colleagues definitely won’t bully you. The male colleague is around 30, single, easygoing, not picky about food, enjoys capsule toys, and is kind and gentle. Single applicants, hurry and consider him! (I’ve done all I can ~)

5. The company has an open-plan workspace. Being upstairs in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park lets you soak up the cultural atmosphere, and the park occasionally holds events on the first and second floors.

6. If you want to learn planning skills, presentation tips, copywriting, and so on, the owner and managers are always willing to teach you.

7. Depending on how hard you work, there is room for salary increases, with no ceiling in the workplace.

8. The company has flexible working hours (09:30–18:00), and overtime follows a responsibility-based system.

9. The soy milk shop across from the post office, Guling Street’s oil rice, Original Curry House, Yangguo Hot Pot, the soy milk shop near the lottery shop, Jianhong Chicken Rice near Yifang, and the goose rice next to McDonald’s are all incredibly delicious!

10. The company has a microwave and kitchen area, and the managers sometimes cook.

11. Because information gathering is part of the job, you can browse Facebook while working, as long as you still complete your tasks efficiently.

Reason for leaving: I was still uncertain about my future and what kind of work I actually wanted to pursue, so I left to take some time to observe and figure things out. Also, because the company is small, my first job made me realize that I had many shortcomings when it came to executing events. I hope to improve them over time.

Here are some of the boss’s famous sayings:

1. Never let yourself suffer grievances, including in matters of love.

2. No matter what presentation you have in your hands, when you go onstage, you have to act as though yours is the best! (Confidence, confidence.)

3. Hahahahahahahahaha (the boss’s distinctive laugh that occasionally appears while browsing Facebook)

You’ll have to join and experience the rest for yourself ~

Cons

Think carefully before joining an advertising, marketing, or public relations company:

1. You may end up seeing tomorrow’s sunrise because of overtime, but everyone will be 【in it together】, and you’ll see the owner, managers, and colleagues working hard alongside you.

2. The owner treats employees like their own children, so when deciding to join, you’d better be sure you’ll stay for a long time; otherwise, leaving will be very difficult emotionally.

3. Financial reconciliation, administrative tasks (document processing and mailing), initial drafts of press releases and official documents, marketing planning, occasional cleaning of the office (everyone on the team has to do it), human resources (recruiting part-time event staff), compiling proposal materials, brainstorming, project completion reports, and more. Everyone applying for a planning specialist position has to do these things! If you’re not very familiar with something, the managers and owner will teach you carefully.

4. You need to have a high tolerance for pressure. Otherwise, you’ll run out of energy when overtime and consecutive event projects pile up. Hang in there—once you get through it, it’s yours!

5. I don’t think the two breakfast shops downstairs are very good··· (Everyone’s tastes are different, though.)
