A software sales manager told the client that he would come over himself after the work was completed, but then delayed it for more than three months past the expected completion time. The boss could still make excuses for him, saying that too many phone calls had interfered with his work.
Another long-serving colleague can take on projects outside the company in this flexible environment. He even asks others to help with the work he is supposed to do during office hours (namely, me), while putting the company’s projects aside. Only when he is pressed for updates does he rush to work at night and on holidays, making it look as though he is being very diligent.
The boss wanted to set up an e-commerce website, so he used a dysfunctional, hastily made website as the basis for modifications. After only one month, he was already complaining that progress was behind schedule. The functions still were not finished, and he was also nitpicking about the artwork and the framework not being aligned, with the two images being different sizes, and so on.
