HR was quite interesting. First, they notified me on 104:
Our company is currently recruiting 【Backend Engineer】 candidates.
We came across your profile on 104 Job Bank and are very interested in your qualifications.... omitted below
We hope to arrange an interview with you.
However, since their company is in Taichung and I am in Taipei, I politely replied asking whether it would be convenient to have a phone interview first, and then decide whether to proceed with an in-person interview, to save both parties time.
After receiving it, they unexpectedly replied:
Thank you for your interest in our company’s 【Backend Engineer】 position.
Unfortunately, after review by our internal manager, we believe you are not the most suitable candidate for this position.
Thank you again for taking the time to reply,
What the hell???? First they sent an interview invitation, and then after receiving my reply, they said that after review, they considered me not the most suitable candidate.
How exactly did they review it?
Located in a high-end building in the 7th Redevelopment Zone.
They posted a business development position under Evergreen Information and a customer service position under this company, but in reality they were looking for telemarketing staff. After the test, they did not review the results and instead immediately asked the interviewee to introduce themselves and described the job as “telemarketing,” asking whether they could accept it. The actual job duties were completely different from those listed in the two positions. Moreover, there was no telemarketing position posted on the employment website. It felt like they were deceiving people into attending interviews and showed great disrespect toward interviewees.
