Read the community guidelines1. Small team with good relationships. When work gets busy, the boss and his wife buy things for everyone to eat.
2. The environment is good; the premises were professionally decorated. The company occupies the first floor, while the boss’s family lives on the floors above.
3. Because they are often busy, the boss and his wife are frequently away, so no one constantly watches over you. However, you must do your work well; it is a responsibility-based system.
4. Overtime is paid, and bonuses may add NT$1,000–3,000.
5. You need to interact frequently with the older dockworkers; they are all very nice.
1. The boss’s temper is unstable and he may yell. If the couple argues, you may also get caught in the middle.
2. The company does not have very clear procedures. Basically, how things are handled depends on the mood of the boss and his wife. The way of handling the same matter may differ depending on their mood, so you have to ask every time.
3. Regardless of your position, you need to go to the docks and refrigerated warehouses, climb into refrigerated containers, and help unload them (you do not need to carry the goods, but you must count and inspect them). The conditions at the docks and refrigerated warehouses are very poor. You work alongside forklifts, trucks, and workers unloading containers. Individual items weigh between 9 and 30 kg; the risk of injury is high.
4. This is a family business with traditional management. You need to be able to endure demanding work and pressure, and be loyal to the boss’s wife (personnel matters are managed by the boss’s wife).
5. On holidays, if the boss wants to check bills or needs any information, you must send it immediately.
6. Because there are no clear SOPs or procedures, work changes frequently and is highly flexible, making it easy to make mistakes.
Basically, this job is suitable for people who accept their role and can endure demanding work.
