As soon as I went in, I saw the supervisor lecturing someone, and everyone had a sour expression. Then I went into the office for the interview, which lasted three minutes. The entire time, I was questioned in an accusatory tone. Since I attend night school, I brought up the issue of working hours to see whether they could be adjusted. The response I got was, “You’re only going to school to get a diploma anyway. Being late doesn’t matter, right?” Why have such a preconceived notion? They probably don’t know that my grades are among the top in my class and that I’ve received quite a few scholarships. Was the implication that I could also be late for work because I’m just there to collect a paycheck? This attitude is truly unacceptable. They didn’t mention anything about company benefits or anything else. After questioning me for three minutes, they simply said they would notify me later. In any case, I didn’t want to continue the conversation. If a supervisor has this kind of attitude before I’ve even joined the company, how much worse would it be after joining? My résumé clearly stated that I’m a student, so going there was simply a waste of my time. Also, the company name on the sign at the address was different from this company’s name. In short, the attitude was terrible, and I don’t recommend that anyone waste their time going to an interview.
