Pros

The person who led me to the meeting room to wait and then asked me to fill out the company's standard résumé was very courteous.

Cons

The interviewer first asked how long I had been working in this field. I answered that it had been more than 6–7 years. He then looked at the salary range I had written and said, “We won’t be able to offer that much at the beginning. Would that be acceptable?” I asked how much it would be, and he just repeated something similar to what he had said earlier. I don’t know why he was unwilling to disclose the salary range to the job seeker... He then asked me whether I would be unable to accept the position if it did not fall within the range written on my résumé. I said yes.

Next, he asked whether I could make videos. At first, I thought he was simply referring to editing, so I said I could do a little. He then continued asking whether I could film videos and handle them through to completion. I quickly clarified that I could only do basic editing and add subtitles. He then began describing the job, but only said that I would have to handle any work related to design. This was very vague, so I asked for more details about the responsibilities. It turned out to involve graphic design, web design, and the video-related work he had just asked about. I felt that this position required one person to take on multiple roles... I also got the impression that this company wanted to hire someone capable of handling multiple roles at a low salary... However, many companies are like this nowadays...

After he finished asking what he wanted to ask, he did not ask whether I had any questions. He simply said that they would contact me by phone later... I personally felt that this was quite disrespectful to the job seeker... It also prevented the job seeker from learning about the position and the company's relevant policies and information. I say this because he did not explain the company's benefits or policies, whether there was a probationary period, or the working hours and lunch break... among other details. This made me feel that it was a company that lacked transparency. It also truly felt like a waste of my time to attend the interview in person, only to find out nothing about the salary range...
