Last weekend, I received an interview invitation from the “female boss” at Gaozhang School. During our phone conversation, I could already sense that she had many doubts about me. Out of courtesy and respect, I still attended the interview on time tonight. Throughout the interview, she repeatedly exaggerated the value of her company, constantly belittled my work, and continually pressured me regarding my personal qualifications, criticizing one thing after another. The entire interview left me feeling utterly bewildered. I was clearly applying for a part-time position, and I remember confirming the job responsibilities before submitting my résumé, but after the entire interview, I discovered that the actual duties were completely different from those described in the job posting. The whole interview was a brutally direct conversation that made me feel disrespected. In the end, I told her directly that I was not suitable for the position. She actually told me, “We have two colleagues here: one has worked for 17 years, and the other is quite young but has also been here for some time. I specifically look for people without experience in our industry, because that is how new ideas can be sparked.” Personally, I feel that if you are looking for someone who is hardworking and willing to be trained from scratch, with no prior knowledge, then shouldn’t you show them some respect? Constantly criticizing the other person from beginning to end is unacceptable. It is truly difficult for me to imagine what a miserable state I would end up in after working there.
