This is a patent firm with around 10 employees. It is a branch opened in Taiwan by a firm from mainland China, and most of its cases come from mainland China, so there should be no need to worry about a lack of work. Accordingly, you probably do not need to engage in cold outreach; there are simply endless cases to write.
The firm is located inside a building, but the door does not indicate that it is an office, making it somewhat difficult to find. It is unclear why they are so low-key. The office is approximately 30–40 ping in size, I think, and from a standing position, you can see everyone in the office.
The boss is a partner and also drafts applications personally. The boss may work until 8 or 9 p.m., while the engineers generally leave after around 7 p.m.
Engineers are expected to draft 70 or 80 new applications a year. There is no technical illustrator, so you have to draw the figures yourself. That works out to roughly one new application every two days. You also have to do the translations yourself, as there are no outsourced translators. You will need to assess the cost-effectiveness for yourself.
The starting salary for a newcomer is probably no more than 40K.
There is no overtime pay.
