This small company has fewer than 10 employees. Most colleagues are easy to get along with. Requesting emergency leave is convenient: you only need to notify the person responsible for the relevant duties and submit the leave form afterward; they will not ask about the details.
The company fully complies with the Labor Standards Act. There are two days off each week and public holidays are off. Overtime is rare—in fact, they do not even want you to work overtime.
The longer you stay, the more work will fall on you. Salary increases are rare. Even if you had certain salary expectations at the beginning, when you first join you will only receive a fixed salary in the low 20,000s, and the salary ceiling is no more than NT$3,000 higher than the starting salary.
If you are highly capable, you will not want to stay in this place where you cannot grow professionally.
The position you apply for and the actual work content often conflict, so you will frequently wonder why you are doing tasks unrelated to the position you applied for.
Urgent projects or assignments frequently interrupt the daily work schedule you have already planned.
The office is small and cramped, and there is only one restroom. The work area has no partitions and offers no privacy. Music that makes you drowsy is routinely played.
