Pros

1. The workplace is fixed, so you don’t have to keep changing locations (…that’s about it).

2. There are projects to work on, so at least the company won’t go under (but whether that has anything to do with you is another matter).

3. The departments are clearly divided, so you only do your own part (the downside is that you won’t learn anything else).

Cons

1. The probationary period is basically a survival game: there is absolutely no training and no projects assigned to you, so you’re left to fend for yourself; if you can’t find something to do on your own, you’re eliminated.

2. There is a zero-training culture. You have to rely entirely on self-learning and figuring things out, and supervisors provide no guidance, so new hires can only fend for themselves.

3. The pay is relatively low, and the compensation is completely disproportionate to the effort. Given the workload and responsibilities, it is fundamentally unreasonable.

4. The development department offers no bonuses at all. No matter how much you do, you see no additional rewards—there is no motivation whatsoever.

5. The company has a poor reputation as an employer. Internally, there are said to be high turnover and frequent waves of resignations; it is not a place for long-term development.

6. The supervisor is conservative and harsh, manages emotionally, and offers no flexibility; even a minor mistake costs you points.

7. The tolerance for mistakes is close to zero. One small error may be enough to get you fired, and the pressure is suffocating.

8. The work environment is stifling and tense, the atmosphere is cold, and there is no sense of team support—it feels like working in a prison.

9. There is absolutely no project involvement during the probationary period, so you do not even have a chance to demonstrate your abilities; all you can do is passively wait to die.

Summary

Jiayuan Construction is the kind of place suited to people who are already exceptionally independent, have extremely high stress tolerance, and can endure a low-salary, high-pressure environment.

Ordinary people who go there will only be treated as temporary probationary employees, under so much pressure that they will want to leave before they even have the chance.
