Read the community guidelinesIf you have already lost hope in life, only want to collect a dead-end paycheck, and endure your boss’s wild ideas, this place is perfect for you—and it won’t fire its employees.
All employees who joined within the past three years have left because they couldn’t stand the boss.
If you like trying and failing, this is a place where you can hone your skills. The boss likes to put things into practice. Even when something is obviously bound to fail during discussions or at the idea stage, the boss still refuses to give up and hopes to produce a finished product or achieve results. If you object to a proposal, the boss will shut you down by saying, “How do you know if you haven’t tried it?”—a typical case of refusing to give up until hitting the Yellow River. Once the failed product is actually made, however, the boss will turn around and blame the employees.
There are far too many.
Any shortcoming you can think of in a boss can be found in him. He is practically a living textbook, and you can hardly believe that people like this still exist nowadays.
The boss is relatively old and still has the mindset of the previous generation. His thinking is completely out of step with modernization. He runs a manufacturing plant but believes work orders are unnecessary and that they are merely a waste of time.
He does not respect professional expertise. He thinks sales simply means going out to talk to customers, marketing simply means putting things online, and that an ERP system can be implemented by casually assigning it as an additional duty to some employee.
He speaks ill of employees behind their backs and pits coworkers against each other. He privately complains to Coworker A about Coworker B and deliberately suggests that B also says bad things about A; when he turns around and talks to B, he says bad things about A. It is understandable that he wants to use provocation to encourage competition among coworkers, but he uses the completely wrong method. Fundamentally, he is someone who cannot even manage a company at a basic level.
It is understandable to boast to customers externally in order to secure orders and business, but he also tells his own employees unrealistic visions and lies. He assigns the processing department a task that cannot possibly be completed within the specified timeframe, then tells other departments that the processing department said it would complete the task by a certain date.
If the departments do not communicate privately among themselves, this company is simply incapable of getting anything done properly.
The boss makes grandiose claims and is dishonest, takes out his anger on employees and blames them, and also tells outdated, inappropriate jokes or makes jokes containing gender discrimination. It is extremely uncomfortable.
