When someone wants to frame you, any excuse will do.
A company assigns no tasks to an employee, giving them all to its favored employee,
then says before Lunar New Year that they are being laid off because they cannot feel your enthusiasm?
I have to ask: what kind of logic is that? If you do not give someone a chance, how are they supposed to show enthusiasm?
If all the tasks are given to the favored employee, how am I supposed to demonstrate my learning speed?
The company had poor performance last year and no projects—so engineers have to take the blame?
During the interview, you made it sound so good, saying managers would take responsibility,
but when it comes to laying people off, how does it suddenly become the employees’ problem?
Where are the standards? Where is the sense of moral duty? Where is the logic?
Here I really learned what a disgusting operation that squeezes every bit of goodwill out of employees looks like.
You ask people to start after Lunar New Year, and withhold part of their salary during the six-month probation period.
After they complete a year, you say that because they did not stay for a full calendar year (1/1–12/31), there will be no raise or bonus.
Then the following year, you assign no projects and sideline the employee, and dismiss them before Lunar New Year so you do not have to give them anything at all.
Give them half a month’s severance and tell them to obediently go home for the holiday—don’t be too dissatisfied.
What does it mean to say that you complied with the Labor Standards Act? The law is the minimum moral baseline.
That means you will only use the worst, barely acceptable methods to treat people,
and then say, “No illegality found. Thank you for your guidance.”
I ask you: what person in any Chinese-speaking society could accept being dismissed “before Lunar New Year”?
That is malicious manipulation and treating people like fools, yet you still want to portray yourselves as being very good to people.
Keep brainwashing yourselves about how wonderful you are—I’m not buying your PUA.
At least I worked diligently for two years without committing any major mistakes, and this is how the company treats its employees.
If my attitude toward work did not meet your expectations, why didn’t you discuss my work situation with me?
Instead of communicating about both sides’ work expectations and standards, you recklessly jumped to conclusions and fired an employee who had done nothing wrong.
You would rather keep someone who still can barely understand the code, uses ChatGPT for development, and spends all day waiting for others to upload first so they can copy their work;
someone who randomly changes other people’s code without apologizing and has no basic development concepts, on the team.
I guess their disposable period hasn’t ended yet. Even looking down on people has its limits.
During the interview, you said you would teach everything. After I joined, you only taught me enough to understand the basic architecture, then left me to fend for myself.
I learned none of the knowledge or skills a software engineer should have.
On the one hand, you said you had an open attitude and that approaches could be discussed;
when an employee asked whether code reviews were possible, you snapped that improving technical skills was their own responsibility.
With this inconsistent attitude—turning hostile faster than a page can be turned—how do you expect anyone to have any enthusiasm for working with you?
My enthusiasm got frostbite from sticking it to your cold ass!
