Read the community guidelinesThe company’s exterior is stylishly designed and very beautiful. Ordinary passersby would not realize that it is a construction company. The entrance and exit are well hidden, and someone needs to come down to open the door.
While waiting in the meeting room, a female employee poured you a glass of water.
The company sent me a text message informing me of the date and time of the interview, but when I arrived and called them, they did not know that anyone was coming for an interview. They had clearly forgotten, leaving me waiting foolishly at the company entrance for five minutes before someone opened the door. I also waited in the meeting room for more than ten minutes before the owner came down to conduct the interview.
During the interview, the owner kept his eyes fixed on my résumé. The questions he asked were also about things written on my résumé, which made me feel that he had not looked at it beforehand. At one point, the owner asked whether I knew what a construction affairs assistant does. I gave my perspective, and he replied that it was not entirely like that, followed by a period of silence. He did not seem willing to explain the actual job responsibilities and glossed over them. Overall, the owner only asked me questions and showed no intention of explaining details about the company’s business, the job, benefits, or anything else. He then hastily ended the conversation and asked me to leave.
The entire interview process made me feel that my time had been wasted and that I was not treated with respect. If they felt that my experience was not a good fit, why invite me to an interview? If you are going to interview there, I suggest calling the company again beforehand as a reminder, so you do not end up waiting foolishly on the street under the blazing sun.
