Cons

During the interview, the store employee gave me a piece of paper with their salary calculation method on it. It was quite unusual: there were two calculation methods, the new system and the old system.

The differences:

The new system has shorter hours, no year-end bonus, and below-average pay.

The old system has longer hours, a year-end bonus, and average pay.

Both include labor and health insurance, with eight days off per month.

After working for one year, there are three days of annual leave, and the probationary period is three months.

There is also a performance-based commission. You only get paid if you meet the target; if you do not meet it, they deduct money from your pay.

At first, everything went very smoothly. Later, they asked whether I had any questions. I thought everything was probably clear, so I did not ask anything. The store employee then asked when I could start work. After we agreed on a date, I was basically considered hired. Before I left, I suddenly thought of a question: Would I need to sign any documents, such as a guarantor form or a confidentiality agreement? That was when they told me I would need to!!??

They later said they would show me the documents on my first day. I thought that was fine and that I could sign them then.

That was the entire interview process.

Less than five minutes after I left, the store employee immediately called me and said they might not be able to have me start on the agreed date. They said they needed to do a major cleanup and were afraid they would not have time to train me, and asked me to wait for their call.

I ended up waiting at home for a week. I could not stand it any longer and called to ask whether I had been hired. Only then did they tell me that the head office had said to put things on hold for the time being. It was obvious that they were rejecting me. Why did they not say so earlier?

If they were not going to hire me, they could have just said so. Why ask me to wait for their call???

I had already made it clear during the interview that I was urgently looking for a job. They gave me hope and made me wait at home, wasting an entire week of my time. I think this company is very strange.

The most important point is that they are apparently very short-staffed. On the job-search website, they recruit all year round.
