Read the community guidelines1. Before the interview, the general manager even specifically asked whether I would like coffee, juice, or black tea on the day of the interview. It’s rare nowadays to find a company owner who is this considerate.
2. The company is located at the roundabout by Huzhou Station, so transportation and dining options are very convenient.
3. The workspace is family-style. It’s not large, but it’s quite cozy, and it has everything it needs. The general manager updates the employees’ equipment (the computers aren’t Apple, but the PCs look decent. You can also bring your own computer. Each employee’s desk is equipped with a small electric fan because everyone has a different comfortable temperature. The owner told me that they had just replaced all the employees’ chairs with more comfortable ones). The company also provides capsule coffee for employees.
4. The interview process was also very pleasant. The position is primarily responsible for designing for the sub-brand “貴婦妞兒,” whose products mainly consist of women’s cosmetics and skincare products. The owner of this brand also participated in the interview that day, and she seemed to take good care of her employees. Once you become an employee, you can get more high-end facial masks than you could ever use (according to the general manager XD).
5. The starting salary is also better than that of a typical graphic design position: 33K and up.
6. They have a very high level of recognition for design talent. Basically, I was hired on the spot XD
Judging solely from the interview that day, I didn’t notice any drawbacks. I guess you’ll have to join the company yourself to find out.
The environment is pretty good—small and cozy. The salary is average, with raises available based on ability and requirements. Most colleagues are easy to get along with, and the boss is approachable.
The company has now switched to direct selling, so it depends on personal acceptance. If you can accept it, this is probably a pretty good job.
