As for the boss, if he values and relies on you, he is actually not bad.
In terms of his workplace conduct, he is fairly reasonable. However, when he is facing difficulties, he still tends to prioritize himself, but he handles communication issues with each employee reasonably.
I applied for a planning specialist position in the Planning Department.
During the interview, I was very honest with the department supervisor. Although I have experience in many previous jobs, I had absolutely no experience in planning for architectural machinery, and I had been away from the design field for a long time, so I only had a faint familiarity with it. He told me it was fine and that they would teach me and guide me step by step. However, I have now worked here for less than two months. During this time, the supervisor has taken quite a bit of annual leave, and the training has not been conducted in the way he described. He tells you that he will teach you when a project comes up, but when you start receiving orders, he takes a look and says things like, “Does this really need to be taught?” 🤣
The instruction is also often so unclear that you end up not knowing what you are being taught. He often tells you to do something based on what you heard. After you finish it and show it to him, he says it is okay to send out for outsourcing. But when the material comes back with problems, he asks you, “I didn’t notice the problem—couldn’t you have noticed it?”
It makes you feel like you are going around in circles. Even if you notice a problem and tell him about it, he still tells you to follow his instructions. Simply put, it is reasonable to suspect that he lets you embarrass yourself repeatedly and then reasonably claims that it is your problem.
He needs people to praise and flatter him quickly, and from time to time he expects you to treat him to a meal. So choose carefully before taking this job, and pay attention to what he thinks he has discovered about you—don’t let yourself be toyed with.
