The Portuguese owner is extremely arrogant and conceited. It is always a one-man show: “I’m paying you, so hurry up and do it.” He lets the Portuguese head chef bully employees at will. The Portuguese head chef is not really qualified to be a chef either—he is just someone fishing for money in a position he is not suited for, serving as the so-called “authentic Portuguese cuisine” living signboard demanded by the owner. Taiwanese employees are treated only as second-class citizens and exploited. Anyone who raises various issues here simply gets dealt with. Most people who work here become ill, both mentally and physically. Unless you are really short of money, it is not worth sacrificing your health.
