I wanted to leave within the first five minutes of sitting down for the interview.
1. The interviewer (female supervisor) was extremely arrogant. Throughout the interview, she used a questioning, skeptical attitude to determine whether you could meet their requirements.
2. She apparently had not looked at your résumé at all before the interview, repeatedly asking why you thought you could break away from your previous job.
3. She also asked questions involving personal privacy, such as whether you had a partner and whether you planned to get married, saying that if you waited any longer to have children, you would be too old.
4. She openly admitted that the editor turnover rate was extremely high.
5. The interview even included a question about your zodiac sign. I answered awkwardly, and sure enough, she immediately brought up her prejudices against that sign and criticized it extensively. When I rebutted some of her points, I was questioned even more harshly.
6. When discussing my expected salary, she gave the impression that my professional expertise was worthless.
7. When asked about overtime, she said that the work group would still discuss some “little things” late into the night, then asked rhetorically, “Would you count that as overtime?”
8. It certainly lives up to the name “Crazy Design.”
