I’d like to ask about job openings at “Dexin ITEK”: Why are the openings posted under “ITEK”?
When I arrived at the company, I discovered it was Dexin ITEK and panicked, wondering whether I had gone to the wrong place!
While chatting with HR, I felt they were deliberately distinguishing between “Dexin ITEK” and “ITEK” (although I know one is the subsidiary and the other is the parent company), but the strong sense of separation felt strange...
During the interview with the manager, I got the strong impression that he had a very, very deep hatred of “ITEK.”
The day before the interview, I researched information related to “ITEK,” but didn’t look into “Dexin ITEK” at all—I only knew it was a subsidiary. So during the interview, I could only mention “ITEK.” After I brought up information related to “ITEK” twice, I clearly sensed that the manager did not want to hear about “ITEK.” When it felt off, I stopped. So aside from the job scope and salary, there wasn’t much else to discuss.
The salary is really low (the same as at the parent company). Perhaps there are too few competitors in this industry, so they have the final say. But both “Dexin ITEK” and “ITEK” rely on bonuses to raise employees’ incomes.
Therefore, people who haven’t done their research can easily state a salary expectation more than NT$10,000 above what they are willing to offer.
