Read the community guidelinesYou can indeed make money; the brands represented are well-known.
The atmosphere in the company’s (Zhubei + Taichung) groups is very poor; there is a great deal of miscellaneous paperwork, spreadsheets, forms, and procedures; the company’s internal policies frequently change from one day to the next (or often remain unresolved without any conclusion); weekly meetings are very long.
The items are relatively light, there are few tools, and it is easy to get started.
First, the working hours
The job listing says AM 8:00–PM 5:00, but in practice there is no clock-in system, so there are no fixed start and end times. The senior worker said that even during the off-season, you may have to wait around until 5 p.m. to finish work, while during the busy season, you may work until eight, nine, or even ten at night. Thursdays are delivery days. The senior worker said that the usual monthly volume is over 200 items—sometimes just over 100, and sometimes as many as 300. So after unloading in the morning, you go out to work, then return to the warehouse in the evening. If you return to the warehouse, you’re screwed: you have to put the goods on the shelves, and you can’t leave until that’s done. Apparently it is currently the off-season, but I still worked overtime until almost 8 p.m. on Thursday. Since there is no clock-in system for the monthly salary, there is no overtime pay.
Now, about the performance bonus
The performance bonus is calculated by the number of cai. The senior worker said there is no overtime pay, but overtime means there is more work, and more work means more cai, so the monthly pay you receive is higher. However, moving materials back at the warehouse in the evening does not count toward your cai, so you only have a chance to earn extra money for work done from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work done after 5 p.m. is considered “preparatory work.”
