After spending time writing a bunch of troublesome interview questions, I was still left waiting for an hour.
They showed absolutely no respect for the interviewee. The supervisor gave a very poor impression and had a very bad attitude.
^_^ They took my portfolio and then completely disappeared without a word. Terrible.
Happy
Snacks and instant noodles are provided for employees to enjoy. There are occasional group meals and sometimes afternoon tea. The office environment is fairly good, and sometimes products from farmers’ associations are given out.
Regarding overtime pay:
The boss determines whether the overtime work applied for is necessary before approving the number of overtime hours on the application.
If overtime is required, you must report to a senior supervisor one hour before the end of the workday. The senior supervisor will determine whether you can apply for overtime that day ^_^
If your speed is too slow, your time management is poor, or you are not proficient in operating the software, etc., these are not considered valid reasons for overtime.
However, the company is so busy, there are so many projects, and many urgent matters arise. Even with complete control of your progress, it is still possible that unexpected tasks will require overtime. The standards for judging overtime still need to be observed ^_^
In addition, there are many company group chats. You still have to reply to company messages after work, and must respond immediately whenever clients or the boss have something to say—even during holidays.
You can get many Farmers’ Association products
The company has a strong master-servant culture. The two bosses appear open-minded on the surface, but in reality even dishwashing is assigned to employees. There are a great many employee rules: serving tea and water, washing dishes, and mopping floors.
Under the accountability system, you are expected to be on call at any time. If you do not respond on LINE, you will be subjected to a few sarcastic remarks, and you are not allowed to have opinions about the design director.
Everyone in the company, from top to bottom, is required to participate in what is called exhibition design, but in practice it is work-study event staffing. Holding events on holidays and in the middle of the night, moving things, and carrying heavy loads are common occurrences.
As long as you are a good employee, your employer is basically pretty good to you, but once you submit your resignation, they will turn against you and treat you with extreme indifference.
The typical exploitative-boss mentality: at the company, you are responsible for washing dishes and cooking. As an assistant, you have to do all kinds of miscellaneous tasks, and sacrificing your holidays is also common—it's a responsibility-based system. When summer arrives, even as a mere assistant, you can't dress a little more casually because clients might come to the office. Unless you're a designer, you can do whatever you want ^^
