Pros

After thinking for a long time, the only thing I can say is that the work environment is fairly free. No one constantly watches you like you’re in prison.

Cons

There are too many miscellaneous tasks and bizarre situations to list them all at once. Roughly speaking:

The graphic designer handles everything alone (designing packaging and printed materials, managing online-store operations, shipping, customer service, serving as the contact person, and all kinds of odd jobs). Of course, it’s impossible to be assigned this much at the beginning; the responsibilities are added little by little, like boiling a frog in warm water. Each task is not difficult when handled separately and is fairly simple, but when they all come at once, it becomes infuriating. They often wait until the last moment to tell you that each item is an urgent job—extremely urgent—and must be finished today.

Even if you make your own schedule and communicate it to the boss, whenever the boss thinks of something, you have to do whatever they just mentioned first. For example, they often urgently confirm the final draft repeatedly and then send it to print, only to tell you several hours later or the next day that the draft needs to be changed and resent. The boss studied design in the past, but does not understand the difference between RGB and CMYK, and will even say that they always send files to print this way (RGB) and it works fine... Then, as the graphic designer, you receive a call from the printer telling you off and saying that it must be converted to CMYK or it cannot be printed.

Another breaking point is that the equipment is terrible. The office laptop is an i3 with a single 8 GB RAM module. Having to keep several online-store back-end management pages open while designing and running Photoshop and Illustrator at the same time makes it unbearably slow and drives you crazy... When the laptop occasionally has problems and is sent for repair, you have to use the backup Windows XP laptop. Various software is unsupported, and eventually even some websites can no longer be opened, lol... Only two USB ports are still working, and several keys on the laptop keyboard are broken. Later, I brought my own mouse and keyboard as well. I had reported all of the above, but there was never any response. On the one hand, I needed the income, and on the other, I wanted to maintain my work efficiency, so I brought my own equipment.

If you don’t mind or object to it, and are truly in need of income, can accept touching a little of every kind of design work, and can tolerate criticism from someone without professional knowledge, as well as doing odd jobs, moving things, and cleaning, then consider applying for this position!
