Pros

The experience you accumulate can serve as a stepping stone.

Cons

There are issues with the allocation of work responsibilities.

If you want to train yourself to be more calculating, you can give it a try.

Pros

Worth considering if you want to build up a portfolio from scratch!

Cons

Some practical experiences during my time there, provided as a reference for those interested in interviewing:

* Job responsibilities differed from those described in the original application: I originally applied for a social media editor position, but later took over additional work after a colleague left. I was initially told that someone would be hired to fill the role, but that never happened. In effect, I handled two people’s worth of work for more than two years.

* How raises were handled: Subsequent salary adjustments were mainly provided in the form of bonuses rather than base-salary increases, which also indirectly affected overtime pay. The calculation method shown on the pay slips was not particularly clear either.

* Overtime pay issues: There was an instance where I did not receive overtime pay after working overtime; it was only addressed later.

* Leave policy: There was no adequate arrangement for covering employees’ duties during leave. Even menstrual leave was discouraged at times for reasons such as workload, and employees were even asked to provide a doctor’s certificate.

* Attendance management: There was once a discussion about取消ing the existing 30-minute grace period, on the grounds that employees would use the policy to obtain perfect-attendance bonuses and overtime pay.

* Management style: The boss’s emotions fluctuated considerably, and there were instances of employees being reprimanded directly at the workplace. Some minor actions while working might also draw attention.

* Handling of work mistakes: On one occasion, I posted something on social media at the wrong time and was asked to cover the resulting cost personally.

Overall, my biggest impression was that the workload, staffing, and compensation were not very well balanced, and the management style was also fairly high-pressure. If you decide to interview, I recommend confirming in advance the actual scope of the work, salary structure, overtime pay, leave, annual leave, and other policies.
