Read the community guidelinesI really racked my brain, but I couldn't think of a single one!
1. During the interview, they made the job sound great, talking about opportunities to get into TSMC and how well you supposedly needed to perform. They also went on about safety precautions for entering the fab, but in reality there aren’t nearly that many rules—it was as if someone might die!
2. Salary: NT$30,000 for day shifts, with a NT$7,000 night-shift allowance.
The company takes an outrageous cut. Any overtime pay has to be claimed from TSMC. We’re the ones working the overtime, so how can they report extra hours and then take half of the money? It’s incredibly underhanded.
3. They only start frantically calling and asking questions when something goes wrong; they never come down themselves to understand the situation. Sometimes they’re even too lazy to come down and collect the sign-in sheet, asking someone else to mail it instead!
If they’re so unwilling to come down to Taichung, why did they take the outsourcing contract for the Taichung plant in the first place? They aren’t willing to take on even this bit of responsibility. Truly awful.
4. The people at this company are incredibly good at bragging—claiming they used to work at TSMC, that they’re amazing at troubleshooting, and so on. It’s all nonsense. Once you ask, you find out that they couldn’t do anything at TSMC. They just drifted through every day until quitting time, then left when they couldn’t coast any longer, yet they brag as if they were highly capable. They love bringing up the fact that they used to work at TSMC; that’s the only thing they can talk about. Pathetic.
5. They conduct interviews carelessly too. They’ll interview anyone just to make up the headcount, following the idea that anyone is fine as long as the positions are filled, then pat themselves on the back and leave. As a result, their coworkers suffer terribly. They even say they can’t tell how good or bad someone is during an interview and that it’s difficult to judge. Yet they personally called to tell us to take good care of a new hire because they were slow to respond. Isn’t that contradictory!
They still can’t tell? How about getting yourself a new pair of glasses!
5. It takes an absurdly long time for them to provide you with cleanroom clothing. I refuse to believe it takes half a year to find a factory to make it. They have an excuse every time and keep passing the buck—it’s obvious they simply forgot to arrange it!
Anyway, this company is shady and terrible. Seriously, don’t come here. If you do, you’ll be extremely unlucky. There are tons of people inside who want to leave.
