Pros

The salary is quite generous, but the key point is, you won’t be receiving it for very long!

It used to be called R.Sanderson, and is now renamed Sauvereign. Anyway, since it had no name recognition, they might as well change it to a meaningless name that makes the boss happy.

Cons

The Hong Kong founder, aka creative director, aka someone who has no idea about the hardships of ordinary life, aka someone who treats other people’s careers as a joke, is very good at talking, but treats employees like toys. New purchases are fun at first, but once the enthusiasm wears off after a few months, you can expect to be banished to the cold palace. Make one small mistake and suddenly they want you gone, without mercy.

There are many senior executives at headquarters, but in reality, every one of them is the boss’s assistant. Even something as minor as buying printer paper requires the boss’s approval before you can make the purchase. By the time the boss agrees, Cai Lun will have invented paper all over again...

The boss has big dreams, but no money to make products. For a shoe brand, all the stock in the warehouse is missing sizes. There is no inventory, so sales targets cannot be met—and you are still told to get lost.

Here is the key point: the entire brand has no HR department across Hong Kong, mainland China, and Taiwan. If payday falls on a holiday, payment is delayed. Getting your salary at 8 or 9 p.m. on payday counts as good luck; if you don’t receive it, you can only wait.... All of that is still relatively minor. This brand does not provide labor and health insurance. Even when it does, salaries are underreported for insurance purposes. If you want labor and health insurance, ask for it quickly while you are still the new toy.

In conclusion, don’t join the brand or work at a Bellavita store just because of the salary figure, because even with a high salary, you will not survive there for long—or you will end up having your pay cut... The boss neither understands nor wants to understand Taiwan’s Labor Standards Act. You will learn nothing and gain no sense of accomplishment. There are better choices in life; don’t come here to waste your life.
