I had barely started the job when my direct supervisor began badmouthing another colleague to me and trying to form a clique (Note: both the supervisor and that colleague were also new hires). She also made insinuations that my abilities did not warrant my salary, telling me that she was the one who gave me the opportunity to join this company. The implication was that I should know how to choose sides (of course, I chose the wrong side). In the end, I turned out to be an excuse for that supervisor to smear the other colleague.
There are cases of abuse of authority and workplace harassment in the company, but the HR department handles these issues passively. Nearly 85% of the colleagues are two-faced, so how could this be a good company?!
