Pros

None

Cons

Young people, think twice! There hasn't been a raise in four years; after completing one year, the annual bonus is about 12,000.

The on-site working environment is poor, with many veteran employees waiting to retire. Young people can't stick around; the packaging section is even worse—hot and smelly.

Pros

First interview: department supervisor

Second interview: department supervisor + associate R&D director + general manager

1. They said clocking in and out is not required, and that working hours are fairly punctual.

2. There is an employee cafeteria, which can help save a little money (though I do not know what the environment is like); a meal costs about 50.

3. During the introduction, they said the company handles a broad range of business and is considered stable.

4. The manager and associate director were polite and talkative.

5. The general manager conducted the interview personally, giving the impression that they value the quality and capabilities of team members.

6. The general manager said the job responsibilities should be clarified first for the interview to be meaningful, and agreed.

Cons

1. The factory is very traditional in its operations: it is noisy, stuffy, and covered in oil stains. Everyone’s office space feels very makeshift.

2. The factory operates continuously, so employees have to take turns working on Saturdays and Sundays (though overtime pay is provided).

3. After the first interview, they said there would be a second interview. I waited for notification during the second week, but then heard nothing. Only after I proactively asked did I learn that the supervisor was on a business trip. They postponed it by a week without notifying me in advance?

4. During the second interview that day, the general manager was very polite at first, but later suddenly began controlling her facial expressions and sitting posture, becoming rather unpleasant, as someone else had previously shared.

5. The general manager directly asked the department manager what the position actually involved, but the manager could not answer, which was rather speechless. Under the general manager’s aggressive questioning, it made me wonder: So you do not even know what you are interviewing for? Then why do I need to spend my valuable time coming to this interview?

6. When discussing a master’s degree for working professionals, they asked whether I was interested in pursuing further education. I said I would be willing if the direction were clear, because I did not want to waste time and money studying something I was not interested in and needed a clear direction. She immediately rolled her eyes at me. The associate director explained that they understood it as wanting me to pursue further education so I would have sufficient ability to handle the role. Why not just say that directly?

7. They asked why my job search had taken relatively long and whether I was under financial pressure. I said that I had some investments and financial planning, my regular expenses were normal, and I had few unusual material wants, so I had no problem maintaining a normal life. Later, she even said somewhat quietly: “I think if you are not in a hurry to find a job, it means you are not short of money.”

If I were not short of money, would I come to an interview and put up with this farce? Is it wrong to want to find a job I like?

8. Throughout the process, they demanded so-called concrete examples, then looked dissatisfied and felt that I was only talking hypothetically. But they themselves did not answer the questions properly. I could no longer listen when they started using that affected, overly formal speech. The same applied to the salary: they were only willing to explain that there were two salary types, “probationary” and “permanent,” and could not even discuss the salary range during the interview.

9. They previously said the age distribution was broad, and this was indeed confirmed. They hope to recruit new talent, but in this state, it will probably be difficult to attract any.

In short, the above is purely my personal experience and impression. May all be well.

Pros

1. The security guard was friendly, very much like the uncle next door.

2. The manager of the administration department was fairly friendly, sharing things with an attitude very much like a mother’s.

3. The manager of the administration department said that here it is “leaving work on time, with weekends off.”

Cons

1. During the interview, the female general manager (who was quite fond of dressing up and rather glamorous) often showed an expression of displeasure and impatience. She did not seem like a professional manager at all, but rather like an arrogant, spoiled heiress. (The administration department manager even sugarcoated this by saying she was… “strict”??)

Pros

Uh... being punctual, I guess?

Cons

A middle-aged man was in charge of the interview. During my self-introduction, he kept sneering, which made me feel that his attitude was pretty bad.

He just kept going on about how impressive the company was, but wouldn't reveal how much the salary was.
