Pros

1. Freedom—you can leave after telling the boss.

2. Regular working hours

Cons

If you’re thinking of applying for a food technician or quality control position, think twice.

It’s a small business with no more than 15 employees in total.

The only back-office staff are an accountant and a technician.

The technician has to handle all sorts of miscellaneous tasks, including ordering lunch boxes and drinking water.

The boss is a very traditional, exploitative small-business owner.

He does whatever comes to mind and only cares about making himself happy.

When he’s in a bad mood, nothing looks right to him.

Sometimes he even yells at employees.

He doesn’t care about quality control at all. He originally hired a technician just to obtain the factory registration.

He tells the technician to fill out forms however they want; when he’s too lazy to sign, he has the technician use a stamp instead.

Even for items that require tracking, he tells the technician to “channel” the information and just enter anything.

He thinks the technician is useless and a waste of money.

He uses pay deductions to force technicians to quit.

(The reason given is that business is bad and the company is losing money, so you’re asked to weather the difficulties together.)
