Read the community guidelinesDuring the interview, I was offered a $10 drink.
At first, the interview went very well. After I returned home, I was told to attend a second interview. When I arrived 15 minutes early for the second interview, the other party said they hadn't expected me to arrive so early and thought I would arrive only 10 or 5 minutes early. Hearing that made me feel uncomfortable. Arriving 15 minutes early isn't very early, is it? Was there really a need to nitpick about this? Shortly afterward, I received a job offer. There were no problems with anything up to that point.
However, the day before I was supposed to report for work, I suffered a severe stiff neck and had difficulty walking. I don't normally get stiff necks, but it happened right before my start date. It was really unfortunate, and under the circumstances, I had no choice but to tell them that I might need to delay my start date by three days.
Then, two days later, I received a call from the company informing me that I had not been selected. I was truly dumbfounded. The stiff neck wasn't intentional, and it's not something that happens to me often. The company would rather continue looking for someone than wait a few more days for me. Even after I explained the situation, the company simply read my message without replying, while continuing to spend time looking for people. The job bank listing was also continuously updated.
I can only be grateful that I didn't waste my time joining such a completely uncompassionate company.
