A typical traditional family-owned business: when the factory makes money, the owner replaces their luxury car one after another, yet is extremely stingy with employees and wants to save money on everything. Work equipment and daily necessities are constantly criticized if they break too quickly or are taken in excessive quantities. Almost all supervisors are family members; they only have to give orders and talk nonsense, and they are all very good at shifting responsibility. Whenever there is a problem with a product, the employees who followed instructions are the ones who suffer. The supervisors refuse to take responsibility—any problem is always the employees’ fault, and supervisors will never admit to anything they have said.
1. Most employees are paid the basic wage required by the Labor Standards Act. If you do not need money and are simply looking for something to do, then consider coming here. Assuming an average tenure of ten years, wages have probably only been increased three times. It is the kind of pay that is barely enough to cover meals. Year-end bonuses and bonuses for the three major holidays are also minimal and depend entirely on the owner's mood.
2. The working environment is poor and hot. Whether on the production floor or in post-processing, everything is covered in dust and powder. You leave work covered in grime every day. If you are prone to allergies or in poor health, you should really think twice—what you earn will not even be enough to cover medical expenses.
3. People with ability and ambition are also not advised to come here. You will not learn much in the way of specialized skills. The work mainly involves physical labor and miscellaneous tasks; no matter how much you do, it is not worth wearing out your body for such low pay. Besides, promotions are already reserved for the same few people.
4. When there are many orders, employees are forced to cooperate with overtime—around two to four weekdays plus Saturdays. Without a valid reason, supervisors may make things difficult for you. (Overtime pay is provided in accordance with the Labor Standards Act.)
5. You definitely need to know how to flatter people here and have a sweet tongue; life will be a little easier if you can talk nonsense. Supervisors generally do not judge you by your work ability, but by how obedient and servile you are. If you get caught in the crossfire, you had better stay on your toes.
Turnover is high. The people who can stay are almost all insiders, foreign workers, spouses of foreign nationals, or older employees who cannot leave. You can definitely find a better job elsewhere, so if you are thinking of joining, please consider it carefully.
A standard traditional industry and a family-owned business, offering stable work. The company receives a steady stream of orders through an introduction from a Japanese trading company, in addition to business from several domestic electrical equipment manufacturers, so there is little concern about the company not making money.
If you live around Xinfeng or Zhubei and are looking for simple, stable work, it may be worth considering.
1. A typical family-owned traditional manufacturing company, where everything is decided either by management or by senior employees who have been there for 10 or 20 years. Outsiders—especially younger employees—have difficulty expressing their opinions. Even when management’s decision is obviously wrong or futile, you still have to follow it!
2. Overtime is often required, and overtime pay is provided in accordance with the Labor Standards Act. However, when orders cannot be completed on time, you generally have to work overtime until the evening on weekdays, and you may also have to come in on Saturdays or during consecutive holidays!
3. The work on the manufacturing floor or in post-processing (repairs) is monotonous. Operating machinery, deburring and trimming, and touching up insulating oil are all highly repetitive tasks with little variation. In addition, dust is constantly floating around the factory floor. Even when wearing a mask, safety goggles, and long sleeves, your skin may still feel itchy, and nasal debris builds up quickly. People who are naturally prone to nasal allergies may be especially suited to this work.
4. Compared with work performance, it is more important to know how to conduct yourself and to judge which people are safe to socialize and chat with and which people you should be wary of ^^
