Pros

A good place to kill (waste) time (one's life)

Cons

Japanese boss, Qiao X-Mao

1. Hot-tempered maniac—a classic exploitative boss, extremely emotional and highly subjective! Every now and then, you can hear this person launching into furious tirades at employees! When an employee presents evidence to support their case, he immediately loses steam, then holds a grudge and later takes the opportunity to nitpick and make baseless accusations!

2. Fickle maniac—constantly changes his directives, selectively forgets everything he has said, is unprofessional yet pretends to understand things he does not, and when he cannot figure out the direction or appropriate approach himself, he pushes the blame onto the employees under him, claiming it is someone else’s fault!

3. Arrogant maniac—has an extremely favorable opinion of himself and thinks he is great! He cannot provide any benefits yet considers himself to have bestowed enormous favors! He only knows how to save small amounts while spending big, doing nothing but exhausting this company’s remaining fortune!

4. Narrow-minded—he not only badmouths other employees to the employees he favors, but also, together with cooperating vendors’ personnel, puts the employee in question down right in front of them. Even more absurdly, he complains to job applicants who come for interviews as well; one of them wrote about this amusing experience online, making the company a laughingstock!

5. Self-serving—he only hides away in this obscure little company playing emperor! He likes to privately invite favored female employees out to eat and drink under the pretext of relieving stress! With so much free time during work that he often dozes off, and with so little care or ability in running the business, no wonder its performance is poor!

This person’s offenses are too numerous to list!

With such character and wisdom, it was only natural that this company went bankrupt!!

Pros

No amount of advantages matters anymore—the company has already gone out of business.

(Indeed, the only advantage mentioned upstairs was being able to leave work on time.)

Cons

This company was truly terrifying (especially Shigeru Hashimoto, who could be called the root of all the trouble). All I can say is that everything said upstairs is true!!

Although the company has already gone out of business, please, Shigeru Hashimoto, do not try to start another company in Taiwan.

Being perverted and incompetent would be bad enough, but you were also extremely stingy. Even using staples or L-shaped folders required registration, yet you were willing to spend huge amounts of money on baffling things.

For example, you spent hundreds of thousands introducing the “Taiwan Personal Information Protection and Administration System (TPIPAS),” even though no one really knew what it was for. It did not help the company’s

business at all. Even more outrageous, despite having this certification, you brazenly logged into employees’ computers after working hours and secretly read their conversations on social media. It was utterly perverted and shameless, and deeply ironic. It is no surprise that the company went under, because your judgment was so poor that you could even sell the company to the wrong party, resulting in being cut off and leaving employees unemployed overnight, while you yourself walked away with your pockets full.

I sincerely plead with you, Shigeru Hashimoto, not to start another business in Taiwan. You do not trust Taiwanese people (as you yourself said) and are afraid of being betrayed; you should be reflecting on yourself.

Incidentally, Taiwanese workers are the ones afraid of encountering a perverted boss like you! You were extremely tolerant toward employees you liked and made things extremely difficult for those you disliked. All I can say is that everything said upstairs is completely true.

Oh, right! You really do not need to worry about employees leaking company secrets, because first of all, your company has already gone out of business. Usually, the companies whose secrets people want to know are companies in good operating condition; no one would want to know the secrets of a failed company, unless they were using it as a contrarian indicator.

Furthermore, very few people have even heard of Sanhuan Asia, and work experience there adds very little to a résumé. Naturally, no one would want to inquire about it, so you really do not need to worry about any “secrets” being leaked.

(Does sharing this count as leaking “secrets”? Ha, if you dare to do something, you should dare to take responsibility for it. As the saying goes, if you do not want people to know, do not do it.)

Encountering a perverted boss like this even once is horrifying—and the company went under, too. The funniest part is that this was not even the first company he started and drove into bankruptcy in Taiwan.

It is truly a terrible time, with fools running amok; perversion knows no nationality. I sincerely hope someone who needs to see this comes across it, so they do not step on the same landmine as those who came before.

Pros

Leaving work on time

Cons

This company proudly calls itself a Japanese company, but in reality, the boss is the only Japanese person. As for the benefits and such, they naturally have nothing to do with Japan; during the Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival, there is only thin air.

None of that is the main point. The main point is that more than 80% of the entire company is female, and the boss seems to think the whole company is his harem. He treats the female employees he “likes” as confidantes, completely disregarding his own position. The standards he applies to colleagues he likes versus those he does not care for can differ by an enormous margin; toward the ones he likes, he is gentle and tolerant in every way.

Those he does not like, however, are treated as punching bags whenever he is in a bad mood. Not to mention that he privately messages the female employees he likes to badmouth other colleagues, giving no consideration whatsoever to his own position or status.

The funny thing is that the people he likes are all exceptionally problematic. Not only are their work abilities extremely poor and their pace extremely slow, they also tell the boss that they are busy while their colleagues are idle. The boss then believes them without the slightest doubt or verification and starts taking their side. It is truly admirable how he can be so blind.

He even openly mocks colleagues—regardless of gender—who do not win his favor, affecting other people’s impressions of those colleagues. If this is not bullying, then what is?

On top of that, the boss constantly assumes that employees are idle and only spend their time browsing the internet and chatting. When employees have nothing to do, he does not reflect on that but instead blames them for not finding work to do themselves. He may think everyone enjoys being idle, but he has no idea that being forced to browse the internet until you become utterly disillusioned is even more painful.

My advice to anyone considering joining this company is: if you are not confident that you can win his favor, do not try it lightly. There will be harem colleagues who do not want to be displaced and may badmouth you in private messages to the boss in order to secure their position, causing your previously peaceful days to suddenly become inexplicably miserable. Also, do not expect your Japanese to improve, because if you do not win the boss’s favor, you will barely use Japanese at all.
