At the beginning, an employee escorted me from the company entrance to another warehouse and a meeting room, so I was unable to see the office environment at all.
After entering the meeting room and taking a seat, no refreshments were provided, and I waited idly for at least about 15 minutes. During that time, no one came to inform me that there would be a wait. I actually wanted to leave right then. It was disrespectful to the interviewee, especially since the company itself had invited me.
When the interviewer finally arrived, they did not introduce themselves and instead immediately began asking questions. They asked extremely detailed questions about my current job responsibilities, the company’s departmental structure, work allocation, and so on. It felt as though the roles had been reversed somewhat.
It was only later that I had the opportunity to ask questions, so I did not feel that the two-way communication was very good. However, the interviewer was fairly comfortable to talk to.
I later asked and found out that the seemingly young woman was the general manager of the administration department. The organizational structure beneath her was very simple: the business department and the management department.
The entire process took almost an hour. In the end, there was no response, but even if they had contacted me, I would not have wanted to join.
The company’s profile on 104 contains quite a lot of detailed information and says that it is expanding. It also uses headhunting agencies for recruitment, which gave the impression that it should place considerable importance on hiring.
However, during the interview, it did not show respect for the interviewee. Making someone wait alone in a meeting room for about 15 minutes gives a good indication of the company’s standards. I also could not see the company’s internal office environment, making it impossible to understand the company culture.
