Pros

1. The company atmosphere seems very cheerful. It is a small company, and the employees seem to feel like family. Music is played in the office, and you can also hear employees chatting. The company strongly encourages interaction among employees. You may eat at any time during working hours; when there are visitors, just remember to stop eating. The impression given during the interview was that they prefer candidates who are outgoing and cheerful. A portfolio is definitely required; personally, I usually bring a printed copy. Benefits and leave policies follow the Labor Standards Act: anything required by the law is provided, and anything not required by the law is not provided.

2. There are bonuses for the three major holidays, and everyone receives a prize at the annual year-end party. However, the year-end bonus is not calculated in terms of months; they only said that “basically,” everyone receives more than one month’s salary.

3. The position applied for was a design role. A written test is required on the day of the interview. The task is to hand-draw a brand logo and briefly explain the design concept. The difficulty is not high, so just answer confidently.

4. For fresh graduates, this is a fairly good environment for developing your skills—as long as you do not mind the salary and working hours.

Cons

1. It is a duty-based position, and it sounds like regular overtime is considered normal, with no overtime pay. One field on the form asks whether you can accept working on holidays. Designers do not need to go to the office or remain on standby during typhoons, but other positions may require it.

2. The salary does not meet expectations. Even with three years of experience, the starting salary is NT$25,000. After the probationary period, the raise is NT$1,000–5,000. Because years of experience are not counted as seniority, you can only initially be assigned an assistant position, so the salary range is NT$25,000–28,000. They said that if your performance is good, your salary will be adjusted within a month, but for renters in Taipei who want to save money, you would have to live on air and drink morning dew.

3. Transportation is more convenient if you can ride a scooter. Taking the bus is another option. If you are accustomed to riding a scooter, transportation is not a problem.

4. Aside from the salary and overtime, the environment looks quite good, and the internal employees seem easy to get along with.
