Pros

The office location is good and convenient for transportation.

Cons

1. The job duties are quite different from what was written on 104. Having to take a test would be one thing, but the test questions were also very unprofessional. Were they deliberately trying to make things difficult for interviewees?

2. The questions asked by the interviewer were uncomfortable and felt somewhat excessively intrusive into my privacy. It was really unpleasant.

Pros

The office interior is pretty nice.

Cons

The interviewer told me what they thought of me and things like my interview score~

They also asked what I personally find most unacceptable in the workplace. After I answered, they said that I had hit one of their sensitive spots~

They said that, as a supervisor, they need to have authority, blah blah blah....

The main point is that I absolutely cannot tolerate this interviewer joking around about the interviewee’s salary and benefits!!

They brushed off a number by treating it as a homophone~

In that moment, I really wondered what this interviewer takes interviewees for.

Do they think humiliating interviewees over and over is funny?

Think twice before submitting your résumé.

Pros

Most colleagues are easy to get along with

Cons

I’ve been gone for a while, but I still can’t help laughing when I hear the gossip from inside. The boss is actually a decent person, but the trusted people they rely on are truly awful.

1. A PM who can’t remember anything. Right after you finish a meeting with them, they can forget it or mix it up with something else, then turn a minor issue into a major one, turning a small problem into a huge mess and making partner companies furious. But the boss supports them to the end... hrhrhr

2. An HR person who can put everything off until the last day, forget or omit things, and then come up with a pile of excuses, and who often doesn’t listen when people talk. The company actually lets someone like this handle recruitment... another hrhrhr. But the boss supports them just the same. According to gossip from inside, they’ve recently managed to annoy even senior people at headquarters, so they have it coming.

3. There’s also another PM who spends all day at work and nobody knows what they’re doing, constantly coming up with all sorts of wild, lousy ideas. There’s little to show for it, but they talk a lot of nonsense. The boss supports them just the same because they’ve known each other for a long time and are very close—good buddies.

Recently, friends still inside have said that things are getting worse and worse. If you’re looking to develop your career, please treasure your life.

Also, the pay isn’t high. Promises of raises are just empty talk.

Pros

I went for an interview two months ago. The interviewer would wait until you finished speaking before expressing their opinion, and the office atmosphere was good.

Cons

There were two interviews in total, but I ultimately didn't get the job.

At the first interview, I had to complete a translation test before proceeding to the interview. During the interview, the HR representative basically wasn't listening to what I was saying. She asked me the same question three times and still didn't remember the answer. When discussing salary, she only said it would depend on performance and avoided telling me even the base salary, merely saying that labor and health insurance were provided.

The conversation had a good atmosphere, but it became awkward when salary was mentioned, so I initially thought I would be rejected. However, the HR representative called to tell me that I had passed and invited me to a second interview. When she asked about my expected salary, I was told to provide proof of my previous salary and discuss it again during the interview.

At the second interview, another manager conducted the interview, confirming details, discussing work expectations, and asking about responses and handling procedures in emergencies. The atmosphere was good, but the HR representative was still not listening to what I was saying and remained vague about the salary. By the end, I still had no idea what my salary would be if I joined, so I decided not to take the job. Perhaps this was an isolated case, but it's still best to be cautious about companies that won't discuss salary.

Pros

I went for an interview about a month ago. The company is in a very prestigious location, in a financial building on the Ren'ai traffic circle. The office itself is very simple, with little decoration—just simple glass partitions and open-plan desks. A mountain of snacks.

The company is very small, with only one meeting room and around 20 employees.

The interview process has about two to three rounds. First, relevant colleagues and HR conduct the interview together, followed by interviews with the owner and the direct supervisor. I heard there may also be a video interview with the overseas headquarters. English and Japanese, as well as work-related questions, may be tested.

The owner seems to have ideas and really wants to make the company bigger. They kept saying they wanted teamwork, initiative, and team cohesion.

Everyone looks fairly young, and the atmosphere is pretty good. As for what it is like to work there, I’ll come back and share once I get the job.

Cons

I haven’t joined yet, so I don’t know the drawbacks. However, I heard the company does not provide parking spaces, so you have to take the MRT.

The interview process has to go through the overseas headquarters, so it takes relatively longer.

The salary is not particularly high—probably around the average.

Seeing that there were so many negative reviews before, I think it might be an issue of the new management team adjusting to the longtime employees. There’s probably no way to resolve that.

Pros

The office team is cohesive; at least we can help each other during difficult times.

Cons

The team members mentioned in the pros have now almost all been laid off.

A parachuted-in manager arrived, claiming to be from a prestigious company, although there are no verifiable achievements to be found in the market.

Upon arrival, they proposed introducing a series of policies from large companies, and the boss immediately agreed with such ambitious ideas.

Anyone whose ideas did not align with theirs was forced out, and they tried to use the original team’s poor performance as a reason for layoffs.

They also began gradually installing their own people to consolidate their political power.

They were even better than the boss at making promises, confidently claiming they would push for raises, but when the time came, they did not even dare bring it up.

In the end, they laid off all the members directly, notifying them and requiring them to leave on the same day. If you are looking for a stable job, do not come here.

There was also an incident where the company was inspected by the labor authorities and failed to pay overtime; they still do not pay it now. Think carefully before coming.

Pros

There are regular purchases of snacks and drinks for everyone to eat.

The salary is paid at the end of the month.

Cons

The boss has no technical background and spends all day coming up with unrealistic technical requirements that cannot be met.

They like to use managers who are all talk: you do not need to know how to do the work as long as your English is good and you know how to flatter people.

That is currently what the managers in Taiwan are like.

I heard that they pry into employees’ privacy, and if you complain, they will suppress you and force you to leave.

They like playing office politics, so quite a few employees have left because of it.

Overtime cannot be exchanged for money. Officially, you can submit a compensatory leave form, but in practice, you can never use it up.

You will even be singled out by that manager if you want to take leave.

They claim to be a foreign company, but they cut costs more aggressively than Taiwanese companies and pay below the industry standard.

Unless you know that manager and get in through personal connections, a pay raise is nowhere in sight.
