Although it was clearly a part-time position, I was put in charge of core programming development as soon as I joined. The fixed monthly pay was only 5,000, and even that was sometimes unpaid. When you calculate the actual hours worked, it was practically a huge loss. On top of that, I had to do all sorts of miscellaneous tasks, from being responsible for the software application to cleaning and organizing documents. They also kept a record of demerits to decide whether to renew your contract.
The boss often disappeared except during meeting times, and the meeting content was also very brief.
“I want you to make something very ‘simple.’ It ‘should’ be quick to finish.”
“I’ll contact you again right away.”
And then he disappeared again.
The boss was one of the developers of the first version of the core program, but his programming taste was extremely poor. There was no design flexibility, and he did not want to develop a new version separately.
He just kept telling us to modify the existing code to make it more flexible.
He did not even look at the suggestions for modifying the program, and did not mention them at all during meetings. All he could talk about was the current work and how much money they had made with various people.
He also spouted hollow promises about opening a company overseas in the future.
Overall, this was a very bad part-time job.
The pay was completely disproportionate to the workload: 5,000 for outsourced part-time work, and 7,500 for a full-time intern position (the latter required 160 hours a month, and I heard that one colleague had not received any pay for several months, hahaha).
The people at the top claimed to earn millions, while treating those below them like slaves.
Do not, do not, do not, do not work here.
