HR first calls to ask questions that would normally only come up during an in-person interview at the company, and even asks private questions that most companies would not ask. When told that it is inconvenient to disclose the information, they continue pressing aggressively for the reason. I have also never encountered another company that interrogates candidates about their experience by phone before deciding whether to invite them to the company for an interview with a supervisor. This is also the first time I have encountered a company that is not offering a position at a large corporation, yet still recruits applicants this way while providing incomplete information about the position’s benefits. Sharing this as a reference for everyone, and to caution you about receiving calls from this company.
