Startup company
It starts with the direct supervisor, who first asks you to answer several questions in English (via messaging).
Only after you pass will they call to schedule an interview. The other party’s English has a very strong Taiwanese accent and is difficult to understand.
The office does not look like a serious workspace at all. It has no décor whatsoever—just tables and chairs placed in a large open space.
The interviewer had not reserved a meeting room in advance, which made the whole process feel completely disorganized.
During the interview, the other party was very condescending and said that coffee roasting is a profound and extensive field of knowledge, unsuitable for people without experience. (This was mentioned at the beginning—if that was the case, I don’t understand why they still wasted both parties’ time.)
I suggest that this supervisor should not rely on belittling others to elevate themselves.
