Read the community guidelinesThe colleagues are very nice, and there’s a night market nearby.
Anyone considering applying to work here should be careful. When there is a problem, the boss tells you to figure it out and solve it yourself, saying that they do not want to deal with these things and that you should not bother them about it. Then afterward, they say that everything must be reported to them—telling a colleague is not enough. They are inconsistent and also expect one person to take on multiple roles: handling customer service for five online platforms (insisting that you reply immediately whether or not it is busy), printing inspection and shipping lists, answering the store phone (insisting that you pick up immediately whether or not it is busy), working the counter and cashier, listing and delisting products, coming up with promotional copy, searching other stores’ prices and reporting them, figuring out how to draw customers from e-commerce platforms to purchase through channels without third-party commissions, and handling and compiling all invoices from e-commerce platforms and suppliers and calculating them. The boss is always complaining that business is bad, there is no profit, they cannot afford to hire more people, and that we have to compete on low prices, expecting employees to use their labor to compensate for the company’s operational problems described above. They say the air conditioning can only be set to 25°C because electricity is expensive, even though the space is extremely stuffy. At first, they discuss a monthly salary of 28K and make grand promises, but most people never receive it because the first three months are a probationary period at 25K. Then, after about a month, colleagues either cannot take it anymore and resign, or the boss simply tells them to go home. You can only possibly reach 28K by burning yourself out and obeying every unreasonable demand. Employee turnover is extremely high, work handovers are incomplete, and you have to deal with the boss’s personal matters. There are also surveillance cameras that monitor and listen to employees 😊
They use staff shortages as a reason to prevent employees from resigning and require employees to bring someone in for an interview themselves. The labor-management relationship is unhealthy, and they keep asking about former employees, which is extremely uncomfortable.
