Pros

1. You can leave work on time, with no overtime.

2. The office kitchen is well-equipped.

3. The boss and the boss’s wife spend no more than three hours in the office each day.

Cons

1. The interview promised labor and health insurance, but in reality there was none. The actual salary received differed from what was originally agreed upon.

2. Accounting and some company-related matters are outsourced. When employees ask the boss’s wife about salary or other employment rights, she becomes very aggressive and keeps wasting time with excuses such as “ask the accountant again.”

3. Basically, the boss’s wife is the one in charge, but she doesn’t care about or strive to improve each employee’s work. She often reads employees’ messages without replying, leaving them anxious and frustrated. It feels as if the company was opened just for fun.

4. She constantly emphasizes that the entire company is one team, then requires every employee to understand and participate in everyone else’s responsibilities—for example, designers have to write articles, and social media editors also have to organize events.

5. The boss’s wife “really” likes wasting time in meetings. The meeting topics are clearly matters that could be reported to her individually; otherwise, everyone just watches her joke around with the most senior colleague.

6. There are surveillance cameras in the office. In name, everyone is an equal colleague, but in reality, the most senior employee is essentially an unofficial supervisor who privately reports every move of other colleagues to the boss’s wife, which makes people very uncomfortable.

7. The company has an extremely high turnover rate. At one point, more than half of the employees were laid off or resigned voluntarily within three months.
