Read the community guidelinesIt can hone your mental resilience and teach you how to see through your boss’s true colors.
The company has a deeply entrenched seniority system. Newcomers are expected to wash the boss’s car, arrive early to sweep the floors, and clean up the leftover lunch waste. Every senior employee has their own hidden agenda. Even when the work is the same, different seniors give you different instructions, making it completely impossible to work properly. If you do not work overtime, they make their displeasure obvious. If you get into a car accident during work hours and take leave, there is no concern or support; they only tell you to remember to get documentation so you can claim under the group insurance. Even after you obtain the documentation, they do not compensate you. A knee wound from the accident began oozing pus and bleeding because of constant exposure to dust. When I wanted to take one day off, they told me not to come in the next day. The boss treats you like a machine and pushes you constantly, while the senior employees toy with you as if you were a dog. No matter how senior they are, their technical skills are not particularly good; they just stay in the factory and talk big.
Anyone who wants to learn a professional skill should absolutely not come here and waste time—unless you have plenty of time to spare. Anyone looking for a high-paying job should absolutely stay away—unless you think you have enough money already. When your work shoes or uniform wear out, they tell you to figure it out yourself. There is an obese woman in the office who looks like a character from 《美環》 and tries to find ways to humiliate newcomers; perhaps she feels a sense of accomplishment from it?
The boss is one of two brothers. You can occasionally see their father show up at the company and give some rather idiotic instructions. The senior employees there are all the boss’s relatives and friends—it is a company run entirely by insiders. They say smoking is not allowed inside the company, yet the boss is apparently very “great,” strolling around outside with a cigarette in his mouth every day. The work itself is exploitative enough, but when he gets bored, he also tells you to clean the fish pond and help his father farm.
Most importantly, this is an extremely profit-hungry company that is very aggressive about making money. Anyone looking for a job or seeking vendors should come experience it for themselves.
