**Cheng Ya Enterprise Co., Ltd.: Chaotic Management and a Lack of Integrity in the Corporate Culture**
My two years of experience working at Cheng Ya Enterprise Co., Ltd. were extremely disappointing. Below are some of the main issues, which I hope will provide useful reference for job seekers considering joining this company:
1. **SOPs Exist in Name Only**
During the interview, the company claimed to have clear SOPs, but after starting work, I discovered that all processes depended on the boss's mood, with no established operating standards at all.
2. **Opaque Family Business Operations**
The company is essentially a family business, with much of the decision-making power concentrated in the hands of family members. The opinions of outside employees are basically disregarded.
3. **Employee Training Is Merely a Verbal Promise**
Although the company claims that it provides training, in practice this remains superficial, and employees receive almost no substantive training.
4. **Meetings Lack Focus and Waste Time**
The company's meetings usually contain nothing substantive. After listening to them, everyone still relies on the boss to make decisions, making them a complete waste of time.
5. **The Boss Has the Final Say on Everything**
Although there are supposedly different departments, in practice everything must be decided by the boss and reported every day. Employees' opinions have never had any influence.
6. **Overtime Pay System Is Not Transparent**
The company indicates on 104 Job Bank that overtime pay is provided, but in practice, applications must be approved by the boss, making it feel as though the benefits policy is merely a gimmick.
7. **Chaotic Internal Operations and a Lack of Management Systems**
The company has no comprehensive internal management system at all. Many matters are decided on an ad hoc basis, resulting in extremely poor operational efficiency.
8. **Lack of Professionalism in HR**
The HR department's level of professionalism is extremely low. Everything requires confirmation from the boss's wife, making the processes feel lengthy and inefficient.
9. **Poor Attitude from the IT Staff**
The IT staff are extremely arrogant, frequently using inappropriate language in the office, which affects the work atmosphere, and they are unable to provide professional support.
10. **The Procurement Manager's Remarks Lack Substance**
During meetings, the procurement manager frequently says things that are irrelevant, making the meetings meaningless and leaving the entire team without direction.
11. **Complicated Work and a Need for High Compliance**
If you are someone who is accustomed to obeying and can tolerate chaotic management, this place may suit you, because the work is complicated and constantly changing, requiring you to deal with last-minute arrangements at any time.
12. **No Consistent Process for Entering Orders**
The company has not established a uniform SOP for processing orders. Different reviewers have their own methods, with no consistency whatsoever, making the work even more chaotic.
In summary, Cheng Ya Enterprise Co., Ltd. is a company that lacks management systems, has an opaque corporate culture, and relies on family-style decision-making. If you are considering joining this company, I strongly recommend carefully evaluating your own tolerance and ability to adapt.
