I worked in the food and beverage department here. I originally thought that, as a sub-brand of the Ambassador Hotel, it would be a hotel system with established scale and procedures. As it turned out, even the food and beverage department alone was a complete mess.
It is an environment that drives away anyone who knows how to do their job.
And it is extremely abnormal.
Supervisors will review surveillance footage or secretly take photos to tell you how badly you performed, take your photos to group chats for public shaming, or even put them into slides as negative examples, saying things like, “Don’t be like this colleague,” and so on. By the way, they still secretly photograph you and use your photos as negative examples without your permission! It’s terrifying—countless people may see your photo and label you directly. I advise anyone who wants to live a normal, peaceful life not to work here. Regardless of the other issues, the company does not respect frontline employees, and most supervisors act according to their moods. Whether you have a good time here depends on whether you have someone backing you up. There are loads of interns and part-time workers here because full-time employees never stay for long.
