The company doesn't even have a sign outside, and they weren't interested in the interviewee's résumé but still called them in for an interview, wasting their time!
The colleagues are fairly easy to get along with, I guess.
The interview was very perfunctory, and the actual job and position later turned out to be completely different. It felt like I was being treated as disposable. The pay was extremely low, and the boss would act as if they were already being very generous to you, saying things like, “One colleague only made NT$23,000 when they first started.” NT$23,000??? Tainan truly is paradise for employers. The boss makes all kinds of sarcastic remarks and constantly belittles employees’ abilities, brainwashing employees into thinking that they simply don’t deserve a high salary. The company mainly takes on government contracts; basically, whenever you see some really ugly public facility on the street, it was probably made by a company like this. Their taste is terrible. If you want to innovate, they’ll shoot it down by saying the contractors can’t make it. The boss doesn’t know much about drawing software but still loves changing things here and there. Designers are also called on to do all kinds of miscellaneous administrative tasks and organize events—in reality, they do almost no design work at all.
