Read the community guidelinesGained an understanding of how the marketing industry operates and, through the interview, learned a great deal about how to respond to various situations and the challenges facing the industry today. Also gained a better understanding of my own shortcomings and worked to improve them.
The company has a strong old-school boss mentality and is unwilling to clearly disclose the extent of overtime. There is no overtime pay, and employees are expected to take full responsibility for their work. They also instill the idea that if you work overtime, it means you have a problem managing your time, so you have no right to request overtime pay.
When I asked how work would be arranged and allocated if the workload were heavy and deadlines tight, inevitably requiring overtime, they avoided the question.
I heard that they are not entirely able to accept employees being unable to leave work on time. They simply said, “You don’t need to come in anymore. There’s nothing more to say.” (How are you supposed to accept frequently leaving work late when there’s no overtime pay? LOL)
