OK, it’s me again.
Since I hadn’t found a suitable job all week, I thought I’d try this one just to make do. I didn’t expect the situation to be even worse than I’d imagined! It turns out there are no livestream hosts at all. Strictly speaking, the company uses photos of women it somehow found to pose as hosts.
Here is the entire process: Someone from the company posts on Facebook under various pretexts, putting up a Line link to attract idiots to join. We “editors” can see in the backend when these idiots join the Line official account. The profile picture of this official account is a pretty woman, and then we have to chat nonsense with them and build a relationship. Once there is some initial trust between both sides, we use all kinds of sales pitches to get customers to buy products, “milk” the customers—“Aww, please help me just this once; I’m only a little short of my sales target.” In short, the goal is simply to get customers to take out their money! With sufficiently slick sales talk, customers may even feel, “Aww, maybe I really do have a chance to get close to this beauty!”
Simply put, they make money by exploiting men’s inability to control their impulses. According to what I heard from a junior supervisor, the products promoted are shipped out; if they aren’t shipped, then it’s fraud. But isn’t pretending to be a pretty woman by using a pretty woman’s profile picture also fraud? Hmm... I’m very doubtful about that. Even if the pay were high, I would still find these methods, which operate in a gray area, disgusting, so I resigned immediately!
Oh, right—speaking of resigning, you also have to sign a contract before starting work. The contents of the contract blatantly violate labor laws, okay! They are completely different from what was said in the interview! There are all kinds of ridiculous clauses: you’re fined for this, fined for that, and I even saw penalties of up to 500,000. The attendance rules also completely disregard labor laws! With all these outrageous deductions here and there, I really doubt whether the base salary they promised at the beginning even exists.
The whole company gives off a bizarre vibe. What legitimate company’s HR representative would say one thing on the phone, something completely different in the interview, and then have the actual workplace be totally different again? I hope more people see my review; otherwise, if there ends up being criminal liability, my life will be ruined!

HR called saying it was for an online marketing position, but after arriving and learning more, it was actually a text editor working behind a livestreamer...
What you earn comes from the money of fat nerds. Anyway, what is being sold doesn't matter; what's important is giving the fat nerds a certain feeling: “It’s okay if you don’t drink (use, need... just insert any adjective) coffee (facial cleanser, gifts... just insert any noun), but if you buy OOO to support the livestreamer a little, the livestreamer will be very happy!” Something along those lines.
Fat nerds, stop being fooled, okay? The ones chatting, joking around, and flirting with you are all sloppy middle-aged men picking their noses and scraping their feet!
