Here is a summary of the impressions gathered after talking with many colleagues:
This is a family-owned company. The chairperson, general manager, and vice president are all family members. The general manager and vice president are married.
In the company’s eyes, sales staff are expected to meet their targets. There are no bonuses, and salaries are docked if targets are not met. However, the monthly salary for sales staff is only a little over 30,000. The employee turnover rate is astonishingly high; basically, entire groups are replaced at a time. Those with ability have generally all left. Not long ago, all of the company’s sales staff resigned, and one of them now earns an annual salary of over one million after leaving.
One “excellent” vice president is very proud of the fact that whenever they want an employee to leave, they do not need to fire them—they can use sarcastic remarks and personal attacks until the employee cannot take it anymore and leaves voluntarily. They have even bragged about this in front of employees.
No matter how much the company earns, it never pays year-end bonuses. Many colleagues have confirmed that the company has never paid year-end bonuses. Despite this, employees are still told, “Last year’s situation wasn’t good, so we can only give you a little,” followed by a red envelope containing a few thousand dollars, with N ≤ 2. At the time, the only thought going through my mind was: “Do you think I’m an idiot who doesn’t know anything?” And then they bought a new house and completely renovated it...
The general manager never explains assigned tasks clearly. They repeatedly ask whether there are any requirements without actually stating them, and only after the work is finished do they say, “Isn’t this basic? You couldn’t take the initiative to ask?” Then they make people revise the work over and over, wasting their lives.
There are all kinds of clauses allowing deductions from salaries.
In short, anyone considering this company should prepare themselves mentally.
