Pros

Trade shows: In previous years, the company attended international packaging or food exhibitions, where free tickets were available.

Meetings: Most domestic suppliers hold meetings in Taipei, but sometimes meetings are held in Japan, usually as a three-day round trip. There is not much free time, and most of the time you need to help bring samples back to Taiwan.

The boss’s clients are all fairly large companies, so handling matters properly can be very rewarding.

P.S. If you know Japanese, the benefits may be better.

Cons

Production operator: At first, you will work on-site as a production operator to become familiar with the products. However, the office sometimes does not turn on the air conditioning in summer, so it can actually be cooler to help out inside.

Leaving work: It is a responsibility-based system; generally, you wait until the boss leaves work or there are no more assigned tasks before going home.

Holidays: This is a traditional manufacturing company. Holidays do not completely follow the days marked in red on the calendar, and annual leave is not calculated separately. Basically, you work Monday through Friday and take weekends off.

Sometimes, when the site is rushing to fulfill orders, you need to work overtime to help (overtime pay is provided). The boss sometimes comes down to help as well.

Salary: There is no year-end bonus; you have to work hard to develop business for sales commissions.
