Read the community guidelinesHigh starting salary
After the company’s high starting salary, there is little else to consider.
The company’s supervisors are basically nonexistent; after raising issues, there is no follow-up.
The work schedule is chaotic (maintenance projects and repair call-outs are mixed together), and much of the work is done by cutting corners rather than following professional standards.
You may have to enter sewage pits (there will not be adequate safety protection, so think carefully). There are also insufficient tools for engineering and maintenance, with no intention of replenishing them. The first thing every technician who reports for work asks about is missing tools, and I have never seen the boss replace them.
The boss will talk about grand dreams—just listen and leave it at that. The entire company has fewer than five people. Think carefully before joining; experience the rest of the helplessness and blame-shifting at work for yourself.
