Salary is calculated through the end of the month (the 30th). Payday is on the 20th. This is the first time I’ve encountered such a long wait.

The company did not enroll employees in labor and health insurance or make labor pension contributions. I reported this, and the Bureau of Labor Insurance replied that the allegations were verified as true. I worked 11 hours a day but was paid for only 10 hours, with the reason being that one hour was deducted for using the restroom and drinking water. The company looked for fault with employees and constantly threatened wage deductions. I understand the Labor Standards Act, so I told the company to make the deduction if it had legal grounds, and that we would settle it at the Labor Bureau. Ultimately, the company did not make improper wage deductions, but I do not know whether other employees were affected. On national holidays and regular days off, the company did not pay overtime in accordance with the Labor Standards Act. I went to mediation at the Labor Bureau and reached a settlement, but the employer’s attitude was highly objectionable. I recommend that employees who have worked at this company demand the wages owed to them. The agreed salary was NT$31,000, but in reality I was paid only NT$22,000; the NT$31,000 included overtime and all other wages. Therefore, when I resigned, the calculation was based on NT$22,000. The company did not provide meals.
