Pros

Working hours and start/end times are very fixed

Cons

In principle, you must arrive at the company before 8:00 a.m. Otherwise, you will see the boss's very amiable face. I heard he used to be in the military, so he is very particular about punctuality (including payroll). 8:00 is the time when the company vehicle is scheduled to leave for work assignments. Also, it is a small family-run shop, and most of its revenue still comes from providing engineering support for clients. Therefore, the so-called journeyman and apprentice positions are essentially just daily-wage apprentice-level jobs. When doing stone protection work on rainy days, if you do not bring an umbrella, raincoat, or jacket, no one will tell you in advance. Then, to meet deadlines, you may have to work overtime until after sunset. There is not much overtime pay either. The boss is also a military veteran; he scolds people exactly like they do in the military. He has a bad temper and shows no restraint when using insults and personal attacks. During the interview, young workers are encouraged with promises that they will be taught how to use all the chemicals and the relevant knowledge. In reality, they only want you to know how to use the company's products. It is a chemical industry, and many things are not explained clearly. If toxic chemicals or gases are involved during use, the boss will not tell you; he will only occasionally remind you to wear gloves. In short, you are simply treated as a laborer and apprentice. When there is no engineering work, someone becomes extremely unhappy; otherwise, they start cutting staff. Whoever is the least experienced gets cut. You know what I mean. Anyway, if no one applies again, they can just hire someone else—bring people in by deceiving them first, and worry about the rest later.
